MSN143-QR2's been back and forth in and out of hangars and still waiting for painting, and MSN145-QR3's been quiet since arrival, I have the feeling the MSN145 could be rolled out before MSN143. Fabien

Fabien Well, both frames are to be delivered in June ... So there is no reason for MSN 145 to leapfrog MSN 143 !

On xfwspotter's latest picture (posted in the "Flight line in Hamburg (2014)" thread), both MSN 158 and MSN 159 seem to be waiting for an outfitting bay ... Yet, there should be one or even two "vacant" bays. Ten HFW frames haven't rolled out yet, but MSN 161 has just been transferred and, if I remember correctly, we believe MSN 143 already has been outfitted (--> I suppose it is in the paint shop, but we don't know if work has been discontinued after the recent accident). As MSN 158 and MSN 159 were captured on the flight line, there are 6 frames probably being fitted out : MSN 145, MSN 130, MSN 154, MSN 156, MSN 157, MSN 155. There are eight outfitting bays, so MSN 158 and MSN 159 should not remain on the flightline very long ...

There are eight outfitting bays, so MSN 158 and MSN 159 should not remain on the flightline very long ... There are in fact only 6 OF bays, and recently 2 extra-bays were built for A320/A380 purposes indeed, but the fact that we can still regularly see unpainted frames on the FL lets me believe that these 2 extra-bays aren't currently used for A380s...

So, Fabien seems to be right, and our EK frames will have to sit on the flightline for a while .... I was obviously too optimistic !
