Boeing has won a contract from European airline group IAG to provide component maintenance on British Airways' Airbus A320-family fleet.
The deal is Boeing's first for aircraft outside its product line, the US airframer notes.
Boeing says that it will, together with partners, "own, manage and maintain a global exchange inventory" to support BA's A320ceo- and A320neo-family aircraft.

That's a new twist in Boeing's drive to grow its aftermarket business. I didn't expect it !

They are not going to make money on the MAX so the A320 is their next best bet
