Link is in Dutch so I'll translate, but the KLM discussion thread on the Dutch Aviation Society "Scramble" has rumours that PH-NXA already has engine trouble after the delivery flight, seems to be a fabrication issue. www.scramble.nl/community/messageboard/12/55049?start=4860First P&W engines for KLM in years, off to a great start.

Per the same Dutch source/forum mentioned above, NXA apparently encountered (severe?) turbulence and needs a more thorough inspection before returning to AMS. Another thread on the same forum is mentioning an approach incident, which is backed by the FR24 playback: www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/ph-nxa#270d9704Weather has been choppy in Europe the past days, maybe KLM is a bit more cautious with a new aircraft type, I don't know. As for the deployment being on the low side, EIS was on March 1st to Warsaw and Berlin and on the 15th I believe Aalborg and Stockholm Arlanda should be added which would mean both aircraft would be flying daily. Now that NXA is stuck in BER that plan might be in danger I can't find the source where I read about these destinations anymore though //Edit: made a quick dummy booking on the KLM site for the 15th and KL1115 to ARN shows an E195-E2, no KLM flights to AAL on Monday so might be mistaken in that one. Also saw Göteborg mentioned but a dummy booking shows an E175 on the 15th.

A different explanation, a lightning strike on approach ! Quote - "Earlier this week, a KLM Cityhopper Embraer E195-E2 suffered a lightning strike while on approach to Berlin. The flight to Brandenburg Airport (BER) had originated in Amsterdam Schipol (AMS). The aircraft involved had been in service for less than a month. But how exactly did the incident play out, and what were the impacts on the plane and its occupants?" Full Article - simpleflying.com/new-klm-e195-e2-lightning/
