Hawaiian Airlines ls looking into a replacement for its 20ish B717s, decision due late 2023 early 2024. The A220 must have a chance ?
Quote CH Aviation - "Hawaiian Airlines (HA, Honolulu) plans to decide on a replacement for its B717-200s in late 2023 or early 2024, Chief Executive Peter Ingram told FlightGlobal.
"We are in the midst of some analysis work. [The decision] will position us for moving towards the replacement of that fleet towards the latter part of the decade," he explained......"

Lufthansa group looking to order 40 small narrow body aircraft, Embraer E2s or A220s. Quote CH Aviation - "17.10.2023 - 11:26 UTC Lufthansa Group is to allocate half of an order of 80 narrowbodies to equip its new subsidiary, City Airlines (VL, Munich), comprising 120 to 140-seater Embraer E-jets or A220s, according to Group Chief Executive Officer Carsten Spohr.... ....According to Spohr, the remaining 40 narrowbodies would likely be A320neo or B737 MAX to be distributed amongstone or more airlines in the Lufthansa Group.Spohr said a decision on both orders would probably be made during this IATA winter." Airbus / Air Baltic working to get the A220-300 certified for London City Airport (LCY) Quote Aviation week - "...The aircraft is basically touching down at any airport in Europe on a daily basis,” said AirBaltic CEO Martin Gauss, counting also its wet lease operations, after signing the latest order. “We fly anything the aircraft can fly. The -300’s only restriction we have is London City, because there they would take a -100.” Joining AirBaltic to announce the order at the Dubai Airshow, Airbus confirmed it is trying to get the -300 certified for LCY. “We're constantly trying to improve the operability of the airplane,” Airbus CCO Christian Scherer said..."
