I wonder if they agreed on keeping it on the Aircraft and just using A220 for marketing purposes. It doesn't make much sense I know but surely there must be a reason why they still have it on. I think the official technical documentation provided by Bombardier hasn't been changed (yet ?). That must be the reason that keeps the former name alive.

As far as airBaltic is concerned: all are painted as CS300. The "Airbus A220" markings on YL-CSI at Farnborough (I believe only on the R/H side) was a sticker. . . .

airBaltic tweet says A220-300, the aircraft doesn't. Still painted as Bombardier CS300 Have all of the deliveries saying Bombardier CS300 since the beginning of July? I wonder if they agreed on keeping it on the Aircraft and just using A220 for marketing purposes. It doesn't make much sense I know but surely there must be a reason why they still have it on. I said before, it could be to do with the stuff AirBaltic has already got with CS300 on it, Safety Cards, Models ...etc etc

The aircraft has been certified as CSeries. As long as that has not been changed, the former name will live on.
In Air Baltic's case, there is another reason : they have ordered CSeries, and have been operating some of them for a while. They may well decide to keep the name.

Only when John Doe is flying with them. When the VVIP's are boarding all of a sudden it's an Airbus
