It looks like they simply omitted the word Thai on top of the fuselage to make it easier to shift them up and down between Indonesia and Thailand

Yeah if you look at the picture I posted on Sept 8 from dn280, you can kinda make out LAQ on NWD, so I'm guessing it did get repainted from PK- reg. And this matches with the hex. Agree.
