It looks like Emirates has a new logojet with EEI. This pic from @rizla1436 on Twitter showd up today. EEI is just outside the paintshop in Dubai. At first I was thinking of a nice photoshop, but it looks like real. Emirates even has removed her name for this:

Anyone one which other frame is gonna get it? I guess searching for inactive frames on FR24 wouldnt bring certainty and also take a while

Yep A6-EEQ frequently does both short and long haul.

"Given the first destination of the 2nd aircraft is Mauritius, would that mean it would be a LR frame or does EK operate both LR and ULR configs to 'shorter' destinations?"
On short flights, even to Europe and Asia; you can see both LR and ULR configs.
