To me, airliners.net is a very bland and difficult format for concentration. 'Ours' is much more pleasingly presented.

They have different definition of roll out as well.

The first anticipation of the 2019 - will this actually be Etihad's first A350-1000

based on the fact that the winglets are not painted.. I bet no. they will probably go the route of the Sri Lanka frames.

based on the fact that the winglets are not painted.. I bet no. they will probably go the route of the Sri Lanka frames. That's a thin basis for such a bold prediction in an unclear situation. That there were (or maybe still are) talks or negociations between Airbus and EY about the latter's A350 order is almost a given. What are/were EY's and Airbus' respective stands, however, is pure speculation. Does EY wish to cancel its order ? Reduce its size ? Defer some deliveries ? We don't know. The most striking fact is that neither side has leaked any information, which suggests that they are working to reach some kind of agreement as they recently did on narrowbodies. I don't think any agreement would be possible if EY did not accept to take at least some A350s, especially those that are already in an advanced state of completion. If that was the case, the talks/negotiations would probably have been discontinued, and I think there would be at least some leaks in the press. The only person who claimed publicly some time ago that the order would be cancelled is Macheras, an eighteen-years-old kid misrepresenting himself as an analyst. He later changed his prediction, saying that 'a number of' A350s would be cancelled. He eventually tweeted a few days ago that the first A350 had rolled out according to industry practice and that it would soon be delivered to EY. Don't pay too much attention to the paint status of the tail or winglets. Remember that, for reasons that we don't know, many QR A350s have been rolled out in primer, before being delivered normally. The situation has nothing to do with that of ex-SriLankan frames. That was a case in which, for purely political reasons, a government-owned airline was forced to lose a lot of money through a cancellation. I don't know what's going to be the outcome, but I don't think a complete cancellation is on the table.

One plausible story was that EY would agree to take the first five frames and then place them through lessors, with other airlines
Strong rumours that EY is not planning to put the A350 into service.
