Indeed strange, but OQI operated the usual QF2 on April 5.

Possibly related to this OQJ diverted to Sydney early on April 6. She operated QF9 Melbourne-Dubai, when one of the engines was vibrating more than is acceptable. OQJ diverted to Sydney, as OQL was available here as a spare. The diversion made it on Aussie TV. It seems that since QF32 everything unusual with an A380 is big news. What I find interesting that we've had 3 R-R A380's with engine issues in recent months: a Singapore returning home with vibrations and recently the Malaysia to Dubai, which officially was 'medical'. But she was in Dubai for almost 20 hours or so. Don't know why they're using that flight number though

In stead a charter flight was operated as QF6052.
