Why are european airlines not using more widebodies on trunk routes? LH did use A310 and A300 back then. The original A330 was used for short haul as well IIRC.

Not enough traffic and not enough cargo are the two man reasons. The busiest European route does not even make it to the top 100 busiest worldwide, the rest behind mostly in Asia. Also, customers want frequency hence the use of A320/737. |
