I guess the next orders to disappear from the book is Amedeo with 20 frames and Air Accord with 3. We knew both of them are not worth the paper they written on, should be get ride of asap. I don't know whether these orders are worth the paper they were written on , but they are backed by contracts, and probably by deposits as well. For Airbus, to 'get rid of them' without a cancellation agreement would probably mean at least pay the money back, and possibly face a law suit for breach of a supply contract. Do you remember the A350-800 ? Airbus never announced cancellation of that A350 version, probably not to fuel legal actions. I bet Airbus has been negotiating for a while !

Are there any open sales campaigns in China or India or other places that might make use of a load of A380s? Very quiet on that front given that all market forecasts unisono claim this to be the big market of the future?

This is a lot of testing and quite expensive if the end of A380 production is about to be announced ?

Not worth the paper it’s written on, is an English saying, you took it literally I agree with you, if my memory is correct, Air Accotd is the entity holding Transaero deposit isn’t it? So it will be quite complicate to resolve that, and taking months to reach agreement. But for Amedeo, I seriously doubt they’ve paid anything significant for those 20 “commitment”. At that time, Airbus was desperate to increase order book, and willing to negotiate flexible terms with a lessor is entirely possible. That contract should be easy to get ride of. I still want to see some conversion from options to orders though.

I think I already posted "Will it be a Valentines Day massacre" 😀 Clearing the decks of a few loose ends before the new management takes over 😉

Not worth the paper it’s written on, is an English saying, you took it literally I was quite aware of the English saying (you find the same kind of phrases in other languages), but in this case the easy answer was that the order might actually have some monetary value, even if no aircraft is ever delivered. I agree with you, if my memory is correct, Air Accotd is the entity holding Transaero deposit isn’t it? So it will be quite complicate to resolve that, and taking months to reach agreement. From my experience, it's impossible to guess from the outside whether a customer paid a deposit or not. As far as legal aspects are concerned, contracts have an expiration date and you may have to wait for that date to cancel an order.

I miss in the text the support for the headline. I prefer a higher quality of text to be worth to be linked.
