If enough airplanes are used, parts and maintenance will be needed for many planes and be cheap. If not enough airplanes are used these costs go up. Why, it is also a question of demand, less used means also more free capicity. And an A380 is never a „mass product“ with large scale effects. See above, we are talking about the A380, a unique aircraft in its own class. I do not see that issue for an A380. If you have usecase for it, MX cost for a small fleet will definetly not an issue. Why? Just for the fun to let the A380 go they hurt their profits. I don‘t get this. Should this claims explain that the A380 will fate fast? Was this your point?

The A380 will -unfortunately- be an orphan now. So there will be a race to sell all it's operators new stuff in order to move their business to new types like 777X and A350-1000.

I am sure we will see the order of A350-1000 soon and the funds already paid nicely transfered...... Also some funds already paid in before are for sure going to be spent on the older A380 refurbishment......

I'm still hopeful somehow that ANA would be liking their frames so much that they'd want to order a few more... Could that happen?...

No new orders will be taken anymore. So they would have to rely on second hand airframes that will be widely available.

Interesting how long the fleet will remain in service. So I will launch my new triple decker for EIS in 2030. "Six engines for the six continents"
