OS is indeed need some modernisation, especially for their long haul fleet. But this swap doesn't make any sense, Lufthansa Group has orders of both new and white tail B787, why they want to shift frames already in LH fleet to OS? I can only think of one reason - LH want new seats, and instead of installing new business seats to existing B787 fleet, they are going to re-paint these aircraft and give them to OS. |

I wouldn't be surprised if the other 5 "new" frames are whitetails as well, possibly from the Norwegian/Air Europa NTU pool from South Carolina. Though one issue is that those are all RR frames and I don't think there are more confirmed GE frames for LH group at this point. |
