Still all marketing talk then some 18 months+ after the flight ban! Boeing never stops trying does it? I still wouldn't agree with official technical / regulatory bodies giving press releases during their internal deliberations - no matter how long, sorry Boeing - that will have supportive effects in some quarters. That's not their role and that's the very odd position that seems to have cosily developed over (recent?) years. Perhaps it was always there but unnoticed - a thought for topics like the DC10 safety history?

I finally think authorities should better keep totally quiet about progress until they sign it off whenever that is. They only generate unwanted pressure against them by doing so.
