Four more on their way out ! Quote FG - "Jet Airways’ fleet continues to dwindle, with ALAFCO, GECAS and Saroja Aviation submitting applications to deregister three Boeing 737-800s and one -900ER between them. ALAFCO has requested the deregistration of 737-800s bearing MSNs 39066 and 39065, which are both mortgaged to Nord LB, records from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation show." www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/four-more-jet-airways-737s-to-be-deregistered-458077/

Vistara wants nearly all widebody aircrafts from Jet ch-aviation's source for this assertion is the Business Standard. Is it considered as a reputable Indian newspaper ? I would find it quite surprising that Vistara, which has a new narrowbody fleet but hasn't operated any widebody, would be interested not only in a few A332s, but in ten 77W on top of that ! Perhaps, that is the price to pay to be granted international slots from BOM ...

'Reinvest in a restructured Jet' doesn't mean reinvest in Jet Airways, not at all ! It means that if a new company was being created to succeed Jet Airways - a company with no debt burden and a much smaller workforce - then they would be interested in being part of it. Nobody is going to waste money funding the existing company.

Some "possible" interest in Jet Airways ? Quote Flight Global - "Indian conglomerate Hindju Group has confirmed that it is evaluating a potential investment in defunct carrier Jet Airways, as most of its fleet continues to be repossessed by lessors and banks. Hindju tells FlightGlobal that it is “evaluating the Jet Airways opportunity” but did not provide any other detail or commentary." www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/hindju-group-shows-interest-in-jet-airways-458347/

Virgin Atlantic to fly daily to Mumbai from Heathrow to fill capacity lost by Jet Airways collapse. Quote Flight Global - "Virgin Atlantic is to resume flights between London Heathrow and Mumbai following the suspension of Jet Airways' own service on the route. The UK carrier says it will begin a daily service to the Indian city from October, operated with a Boeing 787-9. Virgin Atlantic previously offered flights to Mumbai between 2005 and 2015, before halting the Indian service as a part of a wider network revamp putting more focus on its transatlantic operations." www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/virgin-atlantic-moves-to-fill-jet-void-on-heathrow-m-458361/

More news. "Etihad lures Emirati sovereign fund to join Jet rescue" Quote FG - "Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi Int'l) is reportedly talking to the Emirati sovereign wealth fund Mubadala over its potential participation in the rescue of Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Int'l), Moneycontrol has reported. The fund could take a 20% stake in the currently grounded Indian carrier. Etihad itself previously said it was only willing to take up to 24.9%, up from the current 24%, due to the Indian financial market laws which would oblige the Emirati airline to make an open offer for the remaining shares once it crosses the 25% threshold." www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/78559-etihad-lures-emirati-sovereign-fund-to-join-jet-rescue

Closer to final end ? Quote FG - "Two of Jet Airways' creditors have started court proceedings that could bankrupt the carrier potentially jeopardising the planned sale of the grounded carrier. The Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal has fixed a 13 June date to hear pleadings from truck dealer Shaman Wheels and water bottler Gaggar Enterprises to declare the airline insolvent." www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/jet-airways-to-face-insolvency-action-458831/
