Woah! Great news, didn't expect that! The Pacific is definitely getting interesting with this and Air Calin's A339s coming soon. I can't help but think that the A350 feels a bit too big for Fiji, I'd have expected some A339s for them (although that's not out of the picture with this announcement). Then again they used to operate 744s!

Perhaps Tourism will increase in Fiji? I have a feeling this also happened with Mauritius. Since adding the A350, it seems like Mauritius is one of the top destinations for Europeans over the last year or so.

Fiji being an isolated island, I think cargo shouldn't be underestimated. And/ Or they could launch non-stop routes to the US east-coast and compete on connection between AU and US (which they already do a lot, tons of cheap flights from Melbourne to LAX and SFO with FJ).
