EDK has almost completed her 12-year C check in Dubai. She was outside the hangar again on radar on February 9. I saw her inside the hangar during my visit of Emirates Engineering on November 16, 86 days ago. Of which you can read more in the March issue of Airliner World, gone on sale in the UK on Thursday (other countries usually take at least a week or so to get it). EDK was in storage at DWC since 2020 and returned to DXB on December 15, 2022. I have no information how long the check has taken, but Emirates usually guides a 90-100 days plus another 10 for any disruptions.

Interesting to see they decided to give premium eco for a very aged airframe, considering not all existing A380s will be retrofitted. I thought it'd make more sense to refit the product on the younger airframes instead? Or is there anything I don't know?

Not sure what they are for EDK, but for EDF they are good enough to bring her back from storage

EDK was back in the air on February 25, doing a 3h29min test flight off coast Dubai after completing her 12 year C-check since October.

EDK returned to service on March 4, operating as EK15 to London Gatwick. It’s her first service since the pandemic.
