Well I am sort of doubtful how will this end. Some Russian company bought the LET Kunovice - they just took all the documentation and after a period of few years decided to close down the complete operation in Czech republic and moved everything to Russia. They invited some of the former employee to come but so far as I know ALL refused. They do have a problem with production of the veneral L410 - they made a lot of changes and so far I have heard most are "not for the better". We have to consider that L410 is from the 1965 and was sort of NG-ed in the 80th and once more during last few years 2nd gen NG but still is 55 years old design. The L610 is sort of 3rd gen.NGed the original - but all the people around are nonexistent - replaced by different ones with different "culture". The L610 is design from late 80th/early 90th. i.e. also already 30 years old - there were 7 prototypes and only two prototypes are existing now - one is standing and rotting somehere in the USA - the other is in Russia. Those made few flights and than the whole project was "delayed" due to both lack of orders and lack of financing. But it was obvious that the project needed still a lot of work to complete. Was never yet certified by any agency..... Just some explanation......

Thanks for info
So not exactly the project with the best odds. Maybe thus why Polar ordered IL-114 as well, hoping one of them makes it?
