EDF flew already in February 2006 and this makes her the oldest A380 in the Emirates fleet. That would not bring it up to par with addasih 's "F = 6". Like I stated earlier, 007 had a "second first flight" in May 2009 after conversion. It must have been completely overhauled to zero hours at that time, otherwise the whole "F = 6" does not make sense. If F=6 makes sense will soon become clear, as EDG would be next. But she just received the Wildlife decals and not for a few weeks, I guess. So I wait a little more before subscribing to the theory.

a380.boards.net/post/167022/thread In its annual reports, Emirates says it took an impairment of AED 500 mln on 4 A380s that are unlikely to return to service before their useful life or end of lease terms this FY21/22. It also made a depreciation on 3 A380s delivered in 2020 and on 5 delivered in 2019. Emirates withdrawal #5 A380 from fleet: 1. EDF 2. EDA 3. EDG 4. EDH 5. EDP

Emirates told me during my visit at Engineering on November 16 that EDF will eventually return to service. She has a lot of ‘green life’ in her, with checks done just before the pandemic and the gear in good order. She will need the wing repairs, but for EK, it’s a kind of wonder bird.
