That was just my bet ! I think it will end up with HiFly but they need a bit of time to get themselves sorted out with crew, maintence cover, contracts with airlines to cover for aircraft that go tech or to cover aircraft on major maintence etc etc
There will be newer A380s available second hand soon. Like many "standard built" EK frames. (However all those with soon to be "exotic" EA-engines.) I see all the earliest frames being disassembled for parts most likely.

Well, that Dr Peters hasn't yet made that decision tends to show that there are indeed some potential takers. I could also see Airbus buying the aircraft at scrap price from Dr Peters, thus keeping full control of the spare prices, and offering the aircraft on the second-hand market with an optional refurbishment service.
