9V-SKA was scrapped there. 9V-SKB was scrapped there. And this was 9V-SKC...

For scrapping? No way, the airline hasn't say anything regarding getting rid of their A380. On their official site, they still have the A380 as a part of their fleet. I thought it would be for maintenance, but it visit Tarbes instead of Toulouse like in 2018 Or maybe to visit its fallen comrades? Or does it has anything to do with inducting the second A380?

I thought it would be for maintenance, but it visit Tarbes instead of Toulouse like in 2018 Or maybe to visit its fallen comrades? Or does it has anything to do with inducting the second A380? Of course HiFly has not said anything about scrapping MIP, they brought it in 20 months ago with a big fanfare at the Paris Air Show Le Bourget. BUT: In those 20 months it has been leased out less than 6 months to airlines. And the occasional rescue flight for passengers from bankrupt Thomas Cook or virus-victims from Wuhan is not going to save the day. That thing costs a fortune standing idle at Beja. I would not be surprised if Mirpuri has decided "Enough is enough".

If so the big costs are the crew, but they can also fly (crew) the A330s / A340s when needed.

She must be parked somewhere between missions, and LDE must be a cheap parking site, which also is close to TLS, an airport where the aircraft may have to go back from time to time.

It is leased from Doric. That's a big monthly payment for a big aircraft doing nothing but a few ad-hoc (rescue-)flights since September 18 last year.

This settles the issue, in my opinion ! - Only the owner can decide to scrap an aircraft, and in this case even Doric cannot do that since the aircraft is leased out. - The lease must have a fixed-term or a minimum duration clause. As long as the lease is paid, why would Doric bother with the profitability of the aircraft operation ?

And remember, they do aircraft maintenance in Tarbes too, not just scrapping
