HPJA arrived at the factory in Toulouse on Sunday morning January 10. In reply to my question on Twitter Air France tells me: "Hello A380 fanclub, this aircraft landed in Toulouse in order to have its regular and planned technical visit." This looks to be her 6 year check then. If so, why were the doors modified late last year and not during the big check? The 6year check was already done in DRS, just check the post above.

If it has only been back from its 6 year check for 6 weeks what do they need to fly it to TLS for maintenance for ? Should be a minor check and done at CDG ?

Correct it was in DRS from SEP 16 until NOV 30 - way too long for doors only.
So what is going on in TLS ?

On the photo it's the paint hall for the A380. I think it's because A380 paint hall are rare but i'm not sure. It did look a bit grubby, may be a special retro colour scheme ? Any anniversaries coming up for AF ?

With HPJA out of service how Air France is filling the schedule with Mexico City coming up on January 12? The service will start with only thrice a week until 27 March where it goes daily.

Still interesting to know why she needed such a long testflight after what AF regular maintenance.
