Yes please. Any news would be nice.
Also didn't they say MSN 1 would be rested for 3/4 weeks?(12th July last flight) I count 3 weeks up till now so she should be flying again from next week?

Yeah I read that a few days ago.
There is no chance they will get FAL in Germany. More likely they may get more a320 work if anything.
But also Germany and France are continually selling their shares in the company which is good for EADS..oops mean Airbus group. Probably there are just too many efficiencies that can be gained by keeping all a350 FAL in Toulouse.

A FAL in Germany will be a very expensive investment. TLS can easily extend FAL capacity by adding few more station 30 and 40 hangars, but a dedicated FAL in Germany will also need a station 59, 50 and 20, hangar for Beluga unloading etc.

Germany had been promised to get the A30X FAL when France got the A350 back then. Now the A350 XWB is some all new big program (no A330neo like originally planned) with a huge new build FAL while the A320 got neoed and has to share it's business with China and the US. No surprise that Germany hopes for a little more than just that now. Plus France gets the Airbus/EADS company HQ.
I agree with the practical production concerns above for the -1000 FAL but if you share the pain for many years you want to share the gain too.

I think you can remove the engine column because there is only 1 engine available for the A350. Also Assembly Location will always be in TLS. |
