Unfortunately the post contains no information supporting the headline. This is weird since this blog claims to be based on already published information only.

In a recent interview, Fabrice Bregier provided an update on the A350 program ('So far, so good!').
He does not mention the -800, and says that the -1000 is 'the next' A350 variant. This seems to give credence to a postponement of the -800.
Bregier also reconfirms that MSN 3 is flying in October, and that QR's MSN 6 is entering FAL before yearend 2013.

He is in fact the second person saying that the -1000 will be the next A350 family member.

If postponing the -800 is Airbus' plan, I understand that they keep silent as long as possible, but I would expect some leaks from customers ...

.... we can also interpret this as "the -800 as we know it today will not be built". This is the best possible characterisation of the situation!

The A350 blog contends that, should Aeroflot cancel their A350-800 order, Airbus might officially announce that the -800, as we know it today, will not be built. www.bloga350.blogspot.fr/It is however to be noticed that the information, included in the headline, is not substantiated in the following story, and therefore seems to be either an insider's tip or sheer speculation. The blog intends to collect already available information on the A350, but has recently used some speculative headlines. As most of you remember, after some other customers changed their order, Airbus repeatedly stated that they remain committed to the -800. Even so, there is growing speculation that they will either drop the sub-type, or postpone it for improvements.

The -800 remains the next A350 to fly, there was a small miscommunication:
