XWB, does that mean you don't think they canceled MSN118? Could it be that they will just recieve another msn? But what would the reasons for an msn cancelation then be? Sorry for all the questions, but I haven't been following production that long yet, so I don't know the usual procedures in such a case. Cheers!

MSN are totally dependent of Airbus production plans, they do not have to do anything with the airline, maybe unless for special ones (MSN100) but even not sure. If MSN118 would not be produced, it wouldn't matter, Lufthansa would get another one, there would be no matter at all for Lufthansa... Fabien

We can only guess why MSN118 was canceled. Lufthansa would take 1 or 2 A380s this year but they were deferred to next year, probably because of the wing cracks. So I guess MSN118 was a frame with the old wing design, and Lufthansa will get a new MSN number instead.

Also, the ATDB shows D-AIMK as MSN146 instead of MSN118. I guess MSN146 is now the next A380 for Lufthansa.

Not sure if this has been reported before but from next year, all LH A380s will get new flat J seats.

I wonder if they could do it during wing fix. Kill two birds with one stone so to speak.
