Both 1540 and 1541 are in the original Volga-Dnepr block numbers, being RC606 and 607, and the model assigned to them in the firing order, -8HVF, is the same as Volga's previous frames. However, the operator code assigned to them, BGU, is one that has been used for previous frames that have been leased to ABC through Boeing capital. To me, that means the possibility exists that Volga may be purchasing those two frames directly, however it could also just mean that these frames are being built to Volga-Dnepr specifications even though they will be leases. This is different than 1520 and the two other frames that are currently in the FAL, 1535 and 1536. The latter two are assigned to the operator code 645, which I believe at this moment, remains unidentified. Altogether that's 3 frames that Volga-Dnepr seems to have coming up that will need to be firmed up still. Given their pattern recently, those frames may not be officially ordered until right around their delivery. :-) It is definitely possible that the 4 unidentified orders are some combination of the above and will just be revealed closer to delivery, or the firing order could still change, shifting operator codes or block numbers. It is also still possible that they are completely unrelated to the Volga-Dnepr MoU.

Looks like we won't know for certain who these frames are for until they are painted. Geoff

AirBridge Cargo (or it's parent) plans to take delivery of three 748 freighters annually, up until 2021.
Whether they lease or buy, we will be seeing three new 748s flying in (hybrid) ABC livery each year.

Current plan is 6 per annum but they need more orders than just those from Volga-Dnepr to keep at this level. If the 4 ordered last month are not for Volga-Dnepr then it will help Boeing keep production going. Geoff

Not much Well, as we have detailed in this thread, all of the most recent ABC orders have been added to the books right around (or in some cases just after) delivery, even if they start out as undisclosed. That these have been added already breaks that trend. Cargolux has also discussed in the past that they were looking to place additional orders, as has Atlas. None of that is definitive, I'm just pointing out that there are other possibilities that could be equally as probable.

Let's hope it is so... Truth is that Cargolux was never undisclosed. I do not remember right now how was atlas.
The third possibility is some Chinese cargo operator - those are in the beginning undisclosed always.
