So far, this 777 is a one-shot. I don't think they lack space in the 777 FAL.

To be fair, they just store an airplane (777) after paint for some days in there. If the 747-rate is so low the final "slant" position is not used by the 747 all the time. The line is still active.

Better news with an undisclosed order for 4 747-8Fs showing in Boeing's end March figures. These are probably the already built 'Asiana NTU' ( LN 1520 ) and the 3 unallocated frames in production ( LNs 1535/1536/1540 ).
My guess is that they are going to ABC in another deal financed by Boeing themselves.

I believe the first of that 20 frame MoU was last year, in November, when ABC took 2 frames, through Boeing Capital Corporation. This year they will likely take 2 or 3 again, potentially in a combination of lease and direct purchase. Typically, with ABC orders, they are not officially booked until right before or after delivery, so I don't know if L/N 1520 has anything to do with the 4 frame order booked a couple of weeks ago.

I am almost sure that the ABC MoU or how ever to call it is so "muddy" an affair that we will never know how it really is/was/will be

The MoU itself was pretty widely reported, and how ABC is picking up frames currently lines up with how they said they would be doing it in that MoU. If the 3 frames so far which could be considered part of the MoU are the notional Asiana NTUs, I suppose they could be considered unwanted. However, without knowing more details on what happened with that potential sale, it could be considered Boeing being a bit over-eager in scheduling those frames to be built out.

Exactly- it was published but the working of it is unknown. You are completely correct that there are frames being built for someone else or just to do not close the line completely and it seems those are the frames part of this MoU.
