Any idea why these aircraft get delivered to Japan and not somewhere like Atlanta? Tax reasons maybe? i read somewhere that is they are operated from these countries for 6 months, they will no longer be considered as being imported. no tariffs can be applied thereafter. effectively a tax loophole.

If delivered to USA they pay something like a 20% import tariff, but if they deliver them to Japan or Amsterdam and base the aircraft there for something like 6 months they dodge the tariff 😀
