Looks nice, that Kuwait A380 model, does it? The picture looks so dated, the model planes you have not got, the carpet, the telephone, dark wood furniture, so 1990's etc, But one good point is I now know where I can go and work and still smoke in a public building

Also, model plane in the foreground appears to be one of the earliest design iterations of the dreamliner. Notice the sleeker tail fin and the pointier nose.

I still believe IAG will convert the 7 options to firm orders, this is typical Willie's negotiation talk. The longer they wait, probably more discount they will get because once Airbus completes 2017 production schedule, there is not much left to build.
BA doesn't need new A380s in short term, neither IB nor EI, especially now they've decided to keep more B744s in the fleet. They could wait until 2020 or even after that for new A380s to arrive, so the order could happy in late 2017. I won't be surprised if IAG wait until Farnborough 2018 to announce such order. But I strongly believe it will happen one day!

The latest Airbus orders/deliveries list from January issued on Feb 3 sees the cancellation of 2 A380's, bringing total to 317. From the list isn't clear who cancelled. goo.gl/cQWrS

All the airlines with aging B747 fleets are possible customers including BA, United Airline, KLM, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, China Airlines. Still puzzled why Cathay Pacific, my international airline of choice, have retired all their 747s and are happy to have the B777-300ER as its largest aircraft when its home airport is very slot constrained as are many are the major airports it flies to. Here in Australia Cathay has reached the maximum number of flights allowed under the bilateral air agreement so the only way to increase capacity is to use larger aircraft. Point to point flights have their limits with the populations of the majors hubs continuing to grow as that is where the jobs are so the number of passengers flying in and out of these cities will increase. There are also limits to how many passengers a twinjet can carry over long distances. The world can't do without 747s for freight transport and A380s for passenger transport.
