I wrote about it months ago: "I'm very exceptic with this Airline, it hasn't normal profile of A380's operator, besides, diplomatic topics between Rusia and UE doesn't primise will be good.
I think this history can be end like Skymark's history"
I'm sure Transaero don't will take this airplane.

9vswv, your views may be excessive. Sure, the airline is not in a position to fund any investment right now, but that is pretty much the case of any Russian company. As the root cause is the situation in the country, not at the airline itself, everything may change if the economic environment improves (it's mostly low oil prices, not politics). If however oil prices don't pick up, neither will the ruble or the Russian economy.
So, I would say that Transaero orders should be deferred even if parts already have been built, as is probably the case.

I think Russia could use a bit of consolidation in their airline industry to improve the efficiency of their operations.

Whilst this does not directly relate to Transaero and their A380s, it once again shows that airlines in Russia aren't in the best shape. Boeing is in talks to Russian airlines to defer deliveries in 2016 (it's generally too late for Boeing to defer 2015 deliveries) and Aercap had to take 9 aircraft from Russia over the Christmas period. Regarding Transaero and the other VLA they have on order, www.bloomberg.com/news/2015-01-21/boeing-in-talks-with-russian-airlines-to-shift-2016-deliveries.htmlLets hope that the situation gets better for UN to be able to take their A380s as planned.

I am sure that the probability those A380 would be delivered is approaching zero.

I am sure that the probability those A380 would be delivered is approaching zero. Given the fact that Airbus cancelled the Skymark order due to lack of yens, I think Transaero might go the same way. Not the lack in the number of rubles here, but their value

Not the lack in the number of rubles here, but their value Peter I am afraid it is both, since most of their business is "charter" carrying tourists and there is less than half of those, i.e. I am afraid they even do not have enough rubles

I was wondering if this year's target deliveries of "close to" 30 was referring to UN's uncertainties.....
