Look like EK will operate routes with a380 one decade longer:

Sir Tim has confirmed this repeatedly, and from a point of view of an A380 admirer, I appreciate the repeat

Still a bit confusing. The next two decades would be the 20s and the entire 30s. Precisely 20 years out would be even 2041. However if they take their final A380 later this year and keep it for 12 or 13 years as usual we might end up in only 2034? That is not "decades to come" from my understanding.

I think that they could keep the last units for like 15-16 years, like they did with the 777-300 (non ER). That'd make it to 2036-37. It's quite close to 2040.
Unless if the A380 prove itself to be exceptional for the airline, they might keep it for 20 years. I'd like to think that's true.

Finally, Emirates has dared to go for a non-white livery. They used to have the A380 models with special livery (thanks for that again, Salim) but this is something different.

Seems that A380 A6-EVQ was delivered yesterday to Emirates!
