Leahy said there are only two of these vacant slots left ... Hardly a significant matter as far as EK is concerned. Putting aside 2015, there are also some looming cancellations EK can make use of. Kingfisher for instance. Hong Kong Airlines and Virgin Atlantic are also teetering on the edge of cancelling, but hopefully they don't.

So far, Virgin Atlantic has only postponed deliveries. Of course, speculation on the outcome is possible.
As regards Kingfisher and Hong Kong Airlines, they probably never were allocated a delivery slot, though their orders remain on the book. There is no delivery slot to re-allocate, but every year you have to come up with a full list of customers.

From which frame onwards the EK 380s get the permanent wingfix? MSN 141 EK#45 and later have the "new" wing. MSN 123, 127, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 138, 139, 140 should have the permanent fix installed prior to delivery. I am not sure about MSN 123.

I think MSN123 will not have any Repair before delivery due to its time taken for OF (14 weeks, pretty much a good average for EK frames for OF alone). We'll have confirmation of this when we see how many weeks MSN132 is taking for OF (and Wings Repair or not,...).. Fabien

Back in Dubai; EK were looking forward to establish a 6th daily flight to LHR this year, but it looks like things have turn out to be quite. Just spoke to a EK staff at LHR, He said to me EK are now looking around early next year for the 6th daily flight to LHR...

Interesting article about the financing of the next 4 Emirates A380. I'm only confused about the article if they are now in any case realted to the Doric MOA about the 20 A380 at the Paris Air Show. gulfnews.com/business/aviation/emirates-plans-new-aircraft-lease-deal-1.1202809BTW: 630 Million divided by 4 means 157.5 Million per A380 :-) ... List price 2012 of Airbus: 389.9 Million. (http://www.airbus.com/presscentre/pressreleases/press-release-detail/detail/new-airbus-aircraft-list-prices-for-2012/)
