Another extract from the flight global article. "SIA Group also discloses that it will take 11 more 777-9s in lieu of 14 787s. This brings the total number of 777-9 orders to 31 examples, while the 787 family now comprises 20 orders, including five examples for low-cost unit Scoot. The swap in orders will allow SIA Group to “respond to changes” in its projected long-term fleet needs beyond its 2025 financial year. The announcement comes after it formally reached agreements with both Boeing and Airbus to “revise” its delivery schedule, though it did not indicate a timeline."

What is this EASA review on the 777-9 about? Does it mean the FAA would still accept stuff that EASA doesn't? Does this indicate some widening gap between the two authorities and their certification work? I had the impression of some very diplomatic EASA that avoided confrontations even during MAX recertification work?
Or is this just the usual blame game to say in public "EASA" is guilty for years of new delay that might come from other sides?
