Can the 777X hold 18in at 10 abreast or is it a bit less than that, I think SQ might prefer to keep seat widths as standard so if the 777X can't do 10 abreat @18in I wonder if that might be a detracting factor. At ten abreast, 777X seats would be about 17,5 inches with some variation depending on aisle width - there is no way an airline could offer 18 inches seats (hence Airbus' recent campaign). So, you are right, SQ's choice is in part a trade-off between revenue and customer comfort. It must be a tough call ...

ANA's livery fits the 777 like a glove. It would be interesting to see what routes they put it on and, equally interesting, is how JAL/Skymark will react. I smell NRT-LAX as the inaugural.

Well for that bird - 779 - we have still a LOT of time to speculate where it will go

Anyhow, any remaining suspense was gone when EK cancelled its A350 order.
As regards Farnborough, I suppose EK saw no interest in a repeat announcement. Customers' wishes prevail in such circumstances.

I don't think it is a typo after reading who said it. Saj Ahmad was always Airbus hater and diehard pro Boeing . Just check his tweets twitter.com/StratAero. That Uresh (owner of All Things 787) loves him and keeps re-teeting his post which he attack Airbus
