No, 50 grounded 787s. The media always counted the Air India frame.
There are now 57 delivered 787 aircraft.

Does anyone consider the flying public? A few articles in sensationalist newspapers about the plane that might have a fire burning inside and I want to see how many twice-a-year-fliers start to refuse to fly the 787. Many people I talked to would not set foot in such a place if they knew. Well, the know now Further question is if other regulators will follow put and sign the containment solution of as the FAA most likely will do very soon. r will there be one that says 'not enough'? I'm rereading that thread, I guess that post (and many others!) could be well adapted to the current MAX situation!..

I'm rereading that thread, I guess that post (and many others!) could be well adapted to the current MAX situation!.. Yet, Boeing's battery fix was convincing and the likeliness of an accident being caused by a battery fire seems so close to zero ... Not exactly like a mysterious software that may have some other bug ...

Yet, Boeing's battery fix was convincing and the likeliness of an accident being caused by a battery fire seems so close to zero ... Not exactly like a mysterious software that may have some other bug ... I think the battery error was an absolute horror, perhaps even worse than MCAS. A huge lithium ion battery of the most dangerous type, unenclosed in the electrical cabinet, with all the flight computers. It was practically placing a hydrocarbon based bomb, with the electrical cabinet providing the spark plug to explode the air fuel mixture, should the battery overheat and provide hydro carbon based gas.
