Decision about exercise options for 20 more a330neo soon: "We also have this ambition to increase our frequency to Australia, to all major points in Australia three times a day, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and we are reintroducing Brisbane in the very near future. That entails 20 additional A330neos. The first 20 batch of the A330neo is replacement of our current A330ceo. As MH wants to have 50 a330neos, they have to apart from exercising 20 options, order or lease 10 additional frames.

Only 3 a330neo will be delivered in 2024: "Malaysia Airlines is scheduled to receive 13 aircraft in 2024, including 10 Boeing 737-8s and three Airbus A330neos. The first of the A330neos is due in Sep-2024." |

There seem to be conflictual information about the number of neos this year. I just read the April version of Malaysia Airlines inflight magasine yesterday 18/04, from DAC to KUL, and indeed in it it says there will be four delivered. I guess we'll see. 3 or 4 isn't that important after all. Or maybe MH wants 3 and Airbus wants a push. Or the other way around, MH wants to replace the older versions asap, and Airbus might be tight  |
