2014 should be an exciting year for many programs: A350 EIS, 787-9 EIS, recovery of the VLA market (more 747 & A380 orders), A380 production restored etc.
2014 will also see 4 new A380 operators:
- Qatar (Q1 2014) (MSN137) - Asiana (Q2 2014) (MSN152) - Skymark (Q4 2014) (MSN164) - Etihad (Q4 2014) (MSN170)

I'm told EK will get almost as many deliveries in Q1 2014 as the whole of 2013. This is what I've heard:-
Jan 2014. MSNs 136, 138, 141 Feb 2014. MSNs 139, 140, 142 Mar 2014. MSNs 147, 150.
And no, I don't know why 141 would overtake 139 & 140.

Wow, impressive.
MSN 139 & 140 will probably get a wing repair. MSN 141 should ship out of the factory with the final wing fix.

Merci alfamale!! MSN135 was spotted being built in Montoir last year mid November www.flickr.com/photos/oliviercabaret/8182003580/ and eventually was convoyed/complete in Toulouse early February this year, making a gap of 2 months and a half, and making it a 11 month-period until delivery in December this year... MSN141 www.flickr.com/photos/oliviercabaret/8493947347/ was spotted in Montoir being built as well by around mid-February this year, so we might expect to be convoyed/completed in Toulouse maybe in 2 months and a half, hence by around early May?... making it a 9 month-period until delivery in January 2014... MSN136 and MSN138 convoy/completed in Toulouse in February would make a 11 month-period until delivery in January 14, What could we expect for MSN139's convoy?..... It seems to me that MSN118-LH and MSN137-QR will be drown into a sea of EK frames lol, will be hard to guess which will be convoyed..... Fabien

I think there is something not right somewhere. Emirates supposed to receive 8 frames during 2014-Q1, that is more than the average deliveries for that year : 25 deliveries for the whole year, we might be able to see 6 deliveries per quarter. It seems to me that Lufthansa deliveries for Feb/Mar, Qatar delivery for January, British Airways delivery Feb are not current at all anymore........ Unless Airbus significantly reduces the time of production between convoy and delivery, to 7 months. Fabien

I said it before, but if MSN 118 is canceled and MSN 146 is the next for LH then it will probably be delivered in the second half of 2014. That makes at least 1 free slot.

Frames like MSN136, MSN138, MSN139 & MSN140 can be deliverd before the end of the year but it would not be logical to do so, because the final wing fix will be available by then. Instead, those frames will spend 2 months longer in XFW/TLS to get their wings repaired, en that explains the delivery schedule for Q1 2014.
