Why would they do that? AMS is not a premium heavy market.

Why would they do that? AMS is not a premium heavy market. With CZ having codeshares on KLM flights, they're probably hoping on connecting traffic to help fill their flights. I wonder whether this will be operated on a seasonal basis, rotating with the SYD flight which only operates in the northern winter.

Rumour said PEK-AMS will soon fly by A380 I have heard those rumours for three years now, so far no CS A380 in Amsterdam. Others rumours (by CAPA) say that Malaysia might switch the 2nd A380 flight to London to Amsterdam, but that's a difficult one too. Not in the least part if MAS will be able to fill all the seats, as they still have a huge problem in The Netherlands to attract passengers after MH17. More news expected early Autumn when the businessplan for the new MAS should be ready.

Rumour said PEK-AMS will soon fly by A380 That would require a major - and in my opinion unlikely - change in Chinese policies. So far, Chinese airlines have been banned from competing with one another on international flights. As a consequence, CZ has not been allowed to operate international flights from Beijing, which hinders their A380 operation.

I heard a completey different story, CZ are looking to deploy the A380 to LHR and switch the 787 to AMS.
As far as im aware of it, CZ loads from LHR have been quite good. AMS however isn't a strong market. The 787 can be the soluition for AMS.
Wouldn't that make sense?

Well, part of the issue is not the destinations, it is the departure. CAN is not ideal for premium traffic.

I also had TK buying A380 rumours for many years If this piece of 'old news' isn't more 'reliable', i won't post it. LHR is also a potential destination, but what my msg want to express is, they finally (will) get their A380 fly outside China from PEK.
