No way! This cant be right.. I was really looking forward to see the Thai A380 at LHR Maybe it could be a delay of Thai's 5th or 6th A380 delivery date?

Any idea what destination the aircraft will be used for, if not London. If I remember correctly, Sydney was originally scheduled before being swapped for LHR (similar to what Malaysia did) however the schedule for Syd is still the 744.

Actually I think LHR wasn't set in lieu of SYD for THA, just added. Last routes that had been announced by THA were BKK-KIX to start on 16/08/13 and BKK-SYD to start on 16/09/13. Fabien

Fabien You are quite right. KIX and SYD were announced at the time of delivery with London being announced later on www.ausbt.com.au/thai-airways-a380-headed-for-sydney-in-september-2013However this article suggests that Sydney will be cut in favour for a European route (which I presumed was London), although nothing has been officially said. centreforaviation.com/analysis/malaysia-airlines-and-thai-airways-focus-on-europe-rather-than-australia-with-a380s-88384Annoyingly, both Osaka and Sydney are still showing 744s (and A330s for KIX) in the coming months, so either the A380 will be used elsewhere or the airline has yet to update their website. We'll just have to wait and see

Thank you for the link. . Thai states that there is an eleven month delay in the introduction of the A380 on the route. I wonder what are these "important technical modifications".

I guess their first 4 frames will undergo wing repair after they have taken delivery of MSN125 and MSN131. So Thai will be short of A380s to support this route.
