I see no problem for Airbus there. Delivery slots have consistently been overbooked to provide for future cancellations. In this case, Airbus has full control of the transition, which will last as long as required to execute CEO orders.
I also think that the CEO/NEO split may not be clear cut. I wonder if some recent twofold (CEO +NEO) contracts include a conversion + deferment option ...

Thanks Jkkw! That'll then make the 5th customer taking delivery of A350-900 in 2016. Fabien

And here is Airbus confirming VietJet's MoU for 42 A320neo, 14 A320ceo and 6 A321ceo and 30 purchase rights. www.airbus.com/newsevents/news-events-single/detail/vietjetair-to-acquire-up-to-100-new-a320-family-aircraft/It is interesting how the majority of today's orders (VietJet, Qingdao and Zhejiang Loong) are for new airlines with one airline having less than two years of operations and the other two yet to commence. And the initial post has been updated. Presuming that the Delta, Lufthansa and BOC aviation orders are all firm, Airbus's total gross orders now stands above 1000!
