Do you guys think A320 MSNs could go 5-digit at some point? Not quite sure what you mean. Are you asking if: - the A320ceo will receive a 5 digit MSN at some point, or... - with respect to the whole family, including the A320neos, which have a total of 10,000+ aircraft ordered to date. The whole ceo + neo. It seems like will stay with the current counting and wont start from 0 again.

Once they are scrapped, the MSNs probably live on in beer cans. Carlsberg MSN105-xxxxx etc... And besides, the first neo is 6101.

Would the A320neo certification campaign (starting in September with the FF I assume?) have to wait for the end of the certification flights from the A350 (set for the end of August if I am not mistaken?), or can/could both program criss-cross each other?...

I'm not sure what to make of it though. Is he implying that the A350 test guys won't be working on the A320neo? They do have more work ahead as well with the A350-1000.

To me it seems (in general) that manufacturers are much more cautious (since the 787 disaster and before that the A380 wire-harness problems) when it comes to introducing new aircraft.
