Airbus does not say whether both engine versions are on par in performance terms. Altogether, anyhow, the A320neo introduction seems to be very successful, in spite of its early engine issues.

Can't help feeling that CFM is not delivering their engines on time.

Can't help feeling that CFM is not delivering their engines on time. I have voiced that feeling two times already. Especially strange that the Frontier birds are not leaving the nest. Four Pegasus, two AirAsia and one Avianca. Pegasus deliveries could stop too, due to other reasons. We have 21 delivered P&W frames and 7 LEAP so far. 100 neo were planed to leave the nest this year. That was cut down to 75. While P&W bird deliveries keep being slow, CFM engined frame numbers should pick up speed, there must be a planed number of engines from CFM for this year. What was the original plan, 70 P&W and 30 CFM frames this year? The 25 frames shortfall should come from the P&W numbers, cutting that number to 45 or less.

Can't help feeling that CFM is not delivering their engines on time. CFM is aggressively ramping up. If they are struggling, then there is no surprise. It could be minor problems, or more serious issues. We'll know only if it grows worse, or if the company provides more information.

In the moment there are more P&W engined frames delivered than LEAP frames and we know that P&W has problems.

That more P&W-equipped -neos are delivered is per plan, since P&W enjoyed a head start taken into account in the production list. The problems they met have slowed deliveries much more than aircraft production, so they are progressively catching back.
CFM on the other hand had a different schedule from the outstart. Mjoelnir is right that we don't see deliveries 'taking off', but this may not last long, and I find it difficult to analyse the situation as long as they remain tight-lipped.

Pure guess, the open valve issue or any other issue is not accepted by all customers, or the compensation deals are still open. At least it would explain that MSN 7141 is now parked at the DC for over 2 months. But as long Frontier CEO is not AAB we will get no details.
