The new technology can be put into the Europen factories as well if it was worth it, it's always easier when building a new factory, especially with state grants On the union front you can employ staff on non Union contracts, like they do in Charlston, but if the unions get enough support they can change it and get recognition ! It happened to me while working at Honda car plant in Swindon UK, 15 yrs non unionised, then they got enough support and the union had to be recognised ! Things went down hill then

Things went down hill then That sounds perhaps good to some of the most conservative economic journalists in Germany. But going from 42 to 50 frames per month includes 4 frames in Mobile, but also 4 additional frames in XFW. In the moment the production is 16 frames a month in TLS, 22 frames in XFW and 4 frames in Tianjin. There is talk about a new assembly line in XFW additional to the two existing lines and an output rise to 60 frames. One could expect going to 8 frames in Mobile, but I expect XFW to stay the main production centre for the A320 series.
