Rate 6 sounds nice, but at the end of the day Airbus Europe decides whether to increase production or not. I could well believe the rate six is not out of the thin air. Airbus is on the move to rate 60 overall. Last year we saw rate 45. I assume we are currently at rate 46. TLS 16, XFW 24, TSN 4 and Mobile at 2. With Mobile at 4 overall 48 is reached. The fourth line will move XFW to 32 and overall rate to 56. Mobile going to 6 does not sound unlikely. |

Airbus has an option on a 116 acre plot of land next to the currect production site. They will need this if they want to go to 100/year.

The FAL in Mobile is a modified copy of the latest FAL in XFW, that FAL does rate 8. It is expandable to 8 frames per month on that line, in that building. The extra land is usable for other activities. I think Airbus plans for Mobile could be bigger than a single A320 series FAL. |

There are two threads on Mobile, the Mobile FAL and Mobile deliveries. Would information of first flights and so on fit better with the delivery thread?
