The sticker just covers 'lufthansa.com', it was also seen on their latest A380. Ah, did the same thing happen with D-ABYO? Because on delivery she didn't have the 'lufthansa.com' on her I believe. Or if I just missed it on YO, perhaps that means it does undergo some final paint at some point before delivery? And the sticker size is way too small to fit lufthansa.com (unless they've made the font extremely small)

You're completely right, the registration below wouldn't even be able to equal the entire lufthansa part of the old lufthansa.com. Great catch!

Lufthansa has painted D-ABYO in a special livery for the World Cup this year. People state that there are more to come, although I'm not sure if they will all be the same or if they will be unique on each frame. Image from this forum post. Lufthansa announcement here.

I have the feeling only Lufthansa is taking there 747-8 when they are ready. Lots of planes are in storage. Let's see how it will work out for the other 747-8i operators.

Here is one of many great pics that the LufthansaFlyer blog took of D-ABYP today. The blog also notes the following: "Lufthansa will take delivery of D-ABYP next Saturday, June 28 after a few ceremonies marking the special event." Does anyone have any idea as to what is being scheduled for the event? Full post and more images here: lufthansaflyer.boardingarea.com/lufthansas-newest-747-8-d-abyp-shows-paine-field/

LH-taufnamen, which in my experience seems to be a rather good source, has listed the cancelled 787-8i and test aircraft LN1435/D-ABYE with a planned delivery in March 2015 www.lh-taufnamen.de/lufthansa/
