Hello Starbucks, You are right, AY5 is the right entry for the flight from HEL to JFK. But it is for the wrong plane Flightradar24 can't help that Airbus mechanics/pilots enter AY5 into MSN2's transponder, all FR24 does is link the flightnumber to the route independent of the plane. For that same reason I sometimes get FR alerts on my iPhone (I have a alert set for callsigns starting with "AIB") from Air India (AIC) aircraft.... The pilots accidentally enter AIBxxx in stead of AICxxx into the transponder, the error is often corrected quickly, but enough for Flightradar to send me an alert for a Airbus testflight. |
