Oh, wow! That's that. No more 747-400 aircraft. So now, it's gone!

Full retirement of KLM 744 delayed on year: www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/64879-klm-delays-b747-retirement-to-2021"KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam) will retire its last B747-400 at the end of Summer 2021, a year later than previously planned, Up in the Sky has reported. 2021 will also mark a 50-year anniversary of the B747 Family service with the Dutch carrier. According to the ch-aviation fleets module, KLM currently operates four B747-400s and a further nine B747-400(M)s. Three of these aircraft are expected to leave the fleet in 2018 according to the Up in the Sky report. The Dutch flag carrier started retiring its B747-400s in early-2016. Three KLM-owned aircraft of the type are currently stored and await being scrapped at Teruel, while a further one awaits scrapping at Mojave. According to the ch-aviation capacity module, the aircraft are currently deployed on 12 routes out of Amsterdam."

My limited experience with KLM 744 fleet were very bad.
I have witnessed a 744 experiencing fuel leak at boarding gate in Amsterdam, the fuel just pumping out under the left wing none stop, I thought it was really dangerous.
The other 744 I was onboard has 4 toilets out of use, they just carry on with a 12 hour flight. That was a struggle for full load of passengers.
All 744s are getting old and not in great status. But the seats in the bubble are always amazing and special, even A380 can’t compete with that.

I have witnessed a 744 experiencing fuel leak at boarding gate in Amsterdam, Fuel spills happen every day somewhere. It is of course dangerous but not like it's only on a KLM 747. The other 744 I was onboard has 4 toilets out of use, they just carry on with a 12 hour flight. That was a struggle for full load of passengers. Better try American's brand new 737MAX. Two toilets for 156 passengers. Have a nice flight

Fuel leak is normal, but if you’ve seen fuel coming out under the wing like a large waterfall, then that is quite scary!
I’ve only seen that happened with a KLM 744.
