In other words, I'll buy the aircraft if you change the rules for me. That's not likely to work. Not that it matters, the airline is very far from becoming a credible customer, and it already has 737s on order. Will they pick them up ?

Delta is in the market for a new narrowbody to replace their MD-80's in 4-5 years time. Apparently they are giving the CS300 some serious thought. Now if you'd excuse me, I'm going to go back to watching this order like a hawk and hope this leans to Bombardier. CSeries Order A Win-Win For Bombardier And Delta |

CSeries Order A Win-Win For Bombardier And DeltaI would be pretty excited about that if the orders fulfill. I think that the CSeries has definite potential and it would really help Bombardier. A small step is better than no step at all. |

The WSJ is an excellent source. The deal should be officialised pretty soon.
This will be a major industry milestone, opening up the narrowbody market to a third player.

This will be great news for the CSeries and it will keep AB, BO and EMB honest. They might have missed a trick though, they could have just Bought Bombadire six months ago ! |

I do wonder if Airbus missed an opportunity to get something fill up the lower end of their aircraft line up when BBD offered to sell the programme to Airbus last year.
