Saw this tweet #Airbus to deliver only 21 #A380 in 2013 - 18 less than announced at the beginning of 2012! That's a mistake. The maximum targeted output per year for the A380 was pegged at 36 or 3 per month and this was to be achieved after 2014. The target for 2013 was set at 30 before the wing crack issues. 39 is way off.

No this is not from Airbus. Not sure who he is but was retweet by the owner of ALL THINGS 787. May not be reliable source

Sounds ridiculous, Airbus never planned to deliver 39 whalejets in 2013.

Fabien Actually who is the tweet coming from, Airbus?... Fabien There seems to be a story in "Air et Cosmos", claiming Airbus will only deliver 21 A380s instead of 39 this year. The number 21 is correct but 39 must be a mistake.

I'm more interested in the "21 A380 in 2013" than in the second part actually... There's no way Airbus could deliver the announced deliveries of 25 this year, I'm just then still waiting for Airbus' update... Fabien

I am not convinced that 25 deliveries is entirely out of reach, since all these frames already are in HFW or will be transferred there in early summer.
The number of deliveries mainly depends on the time required for wing fixes at the end of this year (after a few months of learning).
In a recent interview, Tim Clark stated that Airbus was confident to catchup on deliveries. I would not declare Airbus wrong prematurely.

I'm starting to see what the 39 might mean. Remember Airbus said that they were going to deliver 60 in total over 2013-2014. Could it be that it is 21 for 2013 and 39 for 2014?

As I wrote before: the first half of this year lacks of deliveries (only 4 IIRC) and recheck flights. The second half will boom bang bang - good for us spotters with a camera
