Flicker says: "This photo was taken on February 19, 2013 using a Canon EOS 50D." The XWB engine is already certified. I remember Airbus saying that even though the Trent XWB is certified, they'll keep on testing it on the A380 for a while longer....

The photo petera380 is referring to is from early certification tests before the plane entered the service. This is the tail strike test. The date on the photo is misleading

seen initially in a flight line hanger at the main airbus facility and then towed outside to the A330/A320 test ramp on Wednesday 24th April

8 years ago today.. "Fernando Alonso!" On April 24 Fernando was in Imola and came in first. Flew the A380 on April 27 and climbed "on top of the world" and continued to Catalunya on May 8. All very handy and close by

On April 24 Fernando was in Imola and came in first. Flew the A380 on April 27 and climbed "on top of the world" and continued to Catalunya on May 8. All very handy and close by Reporter: So what do you do when you're not racing? Alonso: I fly big planes.
